01Who we are

In this policy, “SwapGo”, “we” and “us” mean the company that operates the SwapGo website and web app. We are responsible for the personal data described here.

02What this policy covers

This policy covers the SwapGo website: the home page, the enterprise page and these legal pages (together, “the site”).

The SwapGo web app is a separate product. When you use it, for example to swap, bridge or spend crypto or to apply for the SwapGo card, it may handle data in ways the site does not. That processing is explained in the terms and notices shown inside the app, and those apply to the app.

Our enterprise settlement service is provided to businesses under a separate agreement. If you use a platform that works with SwapGo, that platform’s own privacy notice explains how it handles your data.

03What we collect on the site

Very little. Here is all of it.

• Your cookie choice. When you answer the cookie card, your browser saves your answer (accepted or declined) in its local storage under the name sg-cookies, so we don’t ask you again on every visit. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
• Whether you have seen the intro. The home page plays a short intro animation. Your browser keeps a small flag (sg-intro) in its session storage so the intro doesn’t replay in the same tab. It is deleted when you close the tab and is not sent to us.
• Emails you send us. If you write to help@swapgo.com or to our enterprise team, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you put in your message.
• Standard technical logs. Like any website, the servers that deliver the site receive basic technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Our hosting provider may keep these logs for a short time so the site can run securely.

04What we don’t collect

The site has no sign-up forms, no newsletter box and no contact forms. We don’t run analytics, advertising or tracking tools on it today, and the site doesn’t set tracking cookies. Our fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn’t call out to a font service.

We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t build profiles of the people who visit.

05Cookies and your choices

The cookie card asks whether you’re happy for us to use a few cookies to understand how the site is used. Nothing like that runs unless you press Accept. Right now no analytics are installed, so accepting doesn’t switch anything on yet. If we add analytics later, they will only run for visitors who have accepted, and we will update this policy to name the tool and say what it collects.

Declining doesn’t limit anything. The whole site works the same either way.

Changing your mind

Clear this site’s data in your browser settings (usually listed as cookies and site data, or site storage, for swapgo.com). The cookie card will ask you again on your next visit. You can also block cookies and site storage in your browser altogether, and the site will still work.

06How we use it and why

• Your cookie choice and the intro flag are used only to respect your choice and to avoid replaying the intro. They are needed for the site to work the way you asked.
• Your emails are used to reply to you and follow up. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us or, for business enquiries, on taking steps before entering into an agreement with you.
• Technical logs are used to keep the site secure, spot abuse and fix problems. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
• Analytics, if we ever add them, would only run with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

07How long we keep it

• Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear it.
• The intro flag is deleted when you close the tab.
• Emails are kept for as long as we need to deal with your message and any follow-up, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
• Technical logs are kept only for a short time.

08Who we share it with

We only share personal data when we need to:

• With service providers who host the site and run our email, under contracts that only let them use it to provide their service to us.
• With authorities, courts or others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
• With a buyer or successor if SwapGo’s business is reorganised, sold or merged, who must keep protecting it in line with this policy.

We don’t sell it, rent it or share it for advertising.

09Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, and the whole site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, though, so please don’t send sensitive information by email.

Never share your recovery phrase, private keys or passwords with anyone, including anyone who says they are from SwapGo.

10Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• have it corrected if it’s wrong
• have it deleted
• object to how we use it, or ask us to limit it
• receive it in a portable format
• withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it

To use any of these rights, email help@swapgo.com. We may need to check it’s really you before we act, and we’ll reply within the time the law gives us. Most of what the site stores lives only in your own browser, so you can also delete that yourself by clearing the site’s data.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

11Children

The site and SwapGo’s services are not meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has sent us personal data, email help@swapgo.com and we’ll delete it.

12International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than the one you live in. Where the law requires it, we protect those transfers with recognised safeguards.

13Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when the site or the law changes, for example before we add analytics. The date at the top always shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we’ll make it clear on the site.
